(TSX:HLP.U) (the "Company") today announced that it has filed, and received a receipt for, a final base shelf prospectus (the "Prospectus") with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada. The intention of the Prospectus is to allow the Company to more quickly access capital when market opportunities permit.
The Prospectus is valid for a 25-month period, during which time the Company may offer and issue, from time to time, common shares, preferred shares, debt securities, warrants, subscription receipts and units, or any combination thereof, having an aggregate offering price of up to US$500,000,000. Any issue of securities under the Prospectus will require the filing of a prospectus supplement that will include the specific terms of the securities being offered.
